Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 95388
Cropping of headers when printing previously saved files
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:11 UTC
I am reporting this problem for a co-worker. Basically they try to print a document that was previously created in NeoOffice or Microsoft Office. In the preview inside of OpenOffice it looks fine, but when you actually print it to a printer or pdf it chops about an inch off the top and a little off the left. If I create a new document and insert a header and fill in the picture logo and other info it works fine. This is all from a default install of oo.org we were previously using NeoOffice due to the lack of support for oo.org. I would be happy to provide some sample files but I do not see a way to upload them in this form.
Created attachment 57420 [details] the original microsoft template used
Created attachment 57421 [details] originally a neo office document that shares the same cropping problem
I was able to figure out how to attach files. The two files provided are the original microsoft word document that was used as a letterhead template and the second file is an .odt that was originally created in NeoOffice.
MRU->HI: the import is good; maybe there is a problem when printing the graphic.
Confirmed, Mac only!
Happens when (partially) transparent graphics meet the printer's current margin setting. In this case the contents is clipped to the margins; however it should be clipped to the imageable area instead (which is usually almost as large as the physical paper). fixed in CWS vcl96 @hi: when verifying this one, please check portrait and landscape documents as the imageable area in landscape is virtually rotated by 90 degrees.
please verify in CWS vcl96
