Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 95459
PDF Export wrong when using non-ASCII characters (umlauts) in rotated text
Last modified: 2009-08-19 07:39:05 UTC
Hi, when creating a text box with German umlauts, turning it, and then exporting it to PDF, the exported file is not the same as the OOo input: lines are exported with correct orientation up to the first umlaut character. That character and subsequent ones are exportet with 0 degree turn. I'll attach two files: ODG with said input, and a PDF with cancelled orientation. Extra bughunting aid: this worked correctly with OOo 2.0.4.7, but neither worked on 2.4.0.x nor on 3.0.0. Greetings, Stefan Winter

confirmed using OOo 3.0.0on windows. the problem occures not with all fonts (with DejaVu Serif all is ok, but the used URW Chancery L is broken)
I guess it is a duplicate to i87686 and the workaround is done in issue 97991 (in CWS vcl98 => OOO310_m1 and newer).
Also added dependency to 100539. Most likely this one can be resolved as a duplicate to them.

The same bug applies with Hungarian accented characters in 3.0.1 (OOO300m15) on Linux. It is probably a different issue than Issue 100522, but similar to Issue 87686.

Reproducible in 3.0.1 but fixed in DEV300_m55.
Closed.
