Description daveyost 2009-02-03 07:45:12 UTC
When I use the Find dialog, OO Writer usually mangles the display of the text, causing shear. Attached is
an example.

This is a very bad user experience, and it has been around for a long time.

Actually OOO300m15, but that's not a choice above..

In case this is related to something odd about the document, see also attachment to 98766.

Second screen shot is perhaps more telling. It uses the doc attached to 98766.

I cannot reproduce it.
Maybe a specific graphical configuration on your machine.
Also try not to work in web layout. This may improve the repaint performance.

It is absurd to close this bug! It is a nightmare, and it is proven to happen. You just need to try harder to
reproduce it or to identify what it is about my configuration that causes it or wait for more people to
chime in to say it happens to them.

There is no question of "proof" here but a question of reproducible or not.
Before shouting at "try harder" and "it's absurd", start giving a meaningful and
detailed description of what you do!
"When I use the Find dialog" is a little bit... to few.
