When opening shared Microsoft Excel XLS files from OpenOffice 3.0 in Windows XP,
it is possible for more users to open this document for writing simultaneously,
and so very easy rewrite each others' changes of document. 

Files are shared through Windows share folder. In version 2.4, it works just fine. 

This issue emerged after updating to version 3.0

please look at the latest version of OpenOffice.org

the locking mechanism has changed
