Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 43767
Support for Thai numbering types
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:00:58 UTC
Thai usually use two additional types of numbering other than those provided by OOo. One is using Thai native numbers (๑. ๒. ๓. ๔. ๕.) and another is using Thai letters (ก. ข. ค. ง. จ.). However, these numbering types are not shown in Format->Bullets and Numbering->Numbering type. You have to manually specify it in Format->Bullets and Numbering->Options->Numbering. The Thai locale data file should be updated to add commonly-used Thai numbering types. However, more than 8 numbering types will be needed, which is impossible now - see issue 42965. And three letters must be deleted from the Thai-letter numbering sequence - see issue 43045.
confirmed.
set target to OOo Later.
Apart from issue 42965 and issue 43045, the only other work in this bug is adding appropriate entries to the locale data file (which I have added add issue 54746), which can certainly be done for 2.0.1.
FT: Sorry, as already stated in issue 54746 I'm not sure if we can get this one into 2.0.1 (even if stated otherwise before). I will leave this one at target 2.0.1 but will put this at the end of the 2.0.1 ThaiOffice-issue queue. Therefore I might need to re-target this issue eventually.
As mentioned before: Re-targeted to 2.0.2
This is just a "tracker" bug. All the work is in the issues this depends on: 42965, 43045 which has been fixed, and 54746. As soon as 54746 has been fixed, this bug can be closed. I foresee no difficulty in fixing 54746 in time for 2.0.1, since the only work on Sun's side is to integrate a locale date change. I'll assign this to myself, since all the remaining work here is mine.
Well its not assigned to you yet. So I will do it. Please do ont re-assign to me since I leave my position.
james_clark: what is the status of this issue?
