Notices not fully displayed during input (text invisible when editing notes)

While attaching a notice to a cell after the first line the notice is not displayed, tested in an old and an new spreadsheet.
Confirming with 2.2RC1 on WinXP. Repro steps: 1. Start Calc, Insert, Note, type random characters to fill 4 or more lines. (on attached screenshot - step #1). 2. Switch to another application (on attached screenshot - step #2). 3. Click outside ot the note - note displays fine (step $3).

Same behaviour is noticed when creating a textbloc in Calc(T). As long as the background is transparent, there is no problem. If you assign a backgroundcolor to the textbloc, parts of the texts are invisible during editing. It is then impossible to edit the textfile. When the textbloc is shown in non-edit mode, all text is visible on top of the backgroundcolor. I think the behaviour is related to the note-problem because the note is a textbloc with a yellow background.
Issue still stands for OOo 2.2 RC3.
I still see this problem in 2.2rc4

on linux as well. It doesn't have to be more than 4 lines - just press <enter> to start a new line and the text is no longer displayed. I consider this as a rather severe regression and kind of unfortunate that this issue wasn't escalated to a release-stopper for 2.2.0 So please target for 2.2.1

Reproducible on OOo 2.2 680m14 The workaround to resize the box works for me. But I must admit that this is quite unfortunate since this bug was reported in a RC for the 2.2 release.
Notices are used quite extensively and must be fixed in next release
Issue still active in release 2.2 RC4. This should be solved as soon as possible. It is a new issue that didn't exist in 2.1.
cloph, looks like devs are not very interested in fixing this for 2.2.1 (let alone 2.2).

Working with the 2.2.0 version. Bug still there even in newer version 2.3.0 (still on test)
It is an issue that should be solved by next release. Too much people notice this problem. It is new from 2.2 and I vote it as a release_blocker.
While attaching a note to a cell when we want to modify this note, the text does not appear.
confirmed also in m211 GNU/Linux SPARC
This is a very serious issue which prevents users from upgrading as Calc cannot be used any longer without notes. This bug should be fixed in the next releases (2.2.1) at the latest as it was already detected as regression during test for the 2.2.0 release. Regards Guido

Well done! Thanks :-) Could we issue a quick fix or patch for this ? Many users are awaiting a fix since they cannot use current version because of the bug.
Back to QA for verification. jannino: The release status meeting will decide how to continue with this. But first, QA still has to verify the fix.
