Description gustaaf 2007-03-02 21:58:44 UTC
In Calc release 2.2.0 RC2 the note text disappears if the text is entered and
the box is too small to contain the text. Even moving the cursor back up
doesn't help to show the text in edit mode.

Only deleting the text by backspace makes it possible to get back the previous
texts.

The note is shown completely when viewed. So the issue is related to the
textbox during entering or editing the Note.

I checked with "2.2.0RC2 Multilanguage/German version WIN XP:
[680m9(Build9124)]" and can confirm the problem. When you enter some text,
after a linefeed in the note input frame the text in front of the current line
will become invisible.

The text is not really lost, if you select "show note" after creation, you will
see your complete text.

This problem did not exist with 2.0.2, pls. see my small demo movies in
"75078_calcnote.zip":
- All works fine with 2.0.2 (demo202.swf)
- bad behaviour as reported in 2.2 (demo220.swf)

Comment 4 Rainer Bielefeld 2007-03-03 10:04:51 UTC
Not reproducible with "2.1.0 German version WIN XP: [680m6(Build9095)]", it
seems that the problem is new in 2.2

This problem has appeared with 2.2 rc2. There was no problem in 2.2 rc1 nor 2.1,
2.0, etc. I do not think it is a matter of voting for this issue. It is simply a
question or restating what earlier was right.
