- open the first bug doc attached to issue 77278
  (http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/45075/i77278.odb)
- open the contained report for editing
- execute the report
=> an error message pops up saying that the report could not be executed.

This is kind of sad. The report does not seem to contain any error, in fact it
is a pretty straight forward grouped report with a simple function. Even if it
would show that this report is somehow broken (how?), still the error message is
pretty useless.

targeting to 2.3.1. Until we examined the problem in detail, there is a chance
that the bug doc is only one example for a complete class of simple reports
which does not work.

Yes, nonetheless it's worth an investigation why the original document, which
used to work before, stopped working.

Andre, do you by chance still know what you changed in this document?

there was a problem with the group sum. The function had the property "pre
evaluate" set to yes. (Sorry, I have no OOo here at hand)

Okay, changing "Pre evaluation" for the PopCount function from "Yes" to "No"
indeed allows to execute the report. Adjusted the summary accordingly. Thanks
for finding out!

Change target to 2.4 due to the fact the issue is inside the report engine from
pentaho and that it will be fixed when updating to next report builder
extensions when it is available.
